Our Vision for New Zealand’s Future
It is time for the Bible College of New Zealand to commit to a major building
project that is much more than bricks and mortar - the creation of a new
Library, Archive and Resource Centre. The project is long overdue and the
need is great. In 1922 the College opened with 10 students. Today there are
more than 2000 students, making the Bible College the South Pacific’s largest
evangelical theological training institution. It provides NZQA accredited
awards from Certificate to Doctoral level.
The Bible College is interdenominational and graduates can be found working
in all areas of life, both in New Zealand and overseas. The College, though
based in Auckland, has 16 venues from Kaitaia to Invercargill.
In order to be effective in the 21st century the College needs to grow its
library, archives, computer suites and provide internet facilities, language
labs, high-speed copying. This state-of-the-art Library, Archive and Resource
Centre will enable the Bible College to better equip its students for the many
challenging roles they are called to, and in turn benefit the communities they
serve.
